Mandelbrot would be very pleased to see fractal images that focus on the semi-3D surface roughness. This method of coloring makes the spirals or other Misiurewicz points look flat. For normal iteration band coloring, these points normally make me perceive some kind of tunnel vision. This relief effect shifts the perception focus.
