Hi!
I knbow this has been answered already somewhere, but I can't find it anymore.
So, how do I change the palette of a zoom-sequence?

Thx for the help!

The movie maker needs both the normal KFR files and all the KFB map files. The kfr file contains data like location, zoomlevel, amount of rotation, number of iterations and also the palette itself or the configuration in case of infinite waves. The map files are just "dumb" grids with values (resulting from the iteration proces). The palette gets projected onto these maps by the keyframe movie maker, so this makes it possible to color cylce. Or to change the palette without regenerating the map files. Just open the original KFR file, change the palette, and save it in the same directory. I think you can even change the location without consequences, but I'm not sure on that.

Virtualdub may have color cycling plugins. <a href="https://www.youtube.com/v/GM69lxc_hbw&rel=1&fs=1&hd=1" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/v/GM69lxc_hbw&rel=1&fs=1&hd=1</a>

using HSV, it's possible to vary the colors totally and the contrast levels, i have written some cg shaders that make many colors from pictures, the formulas are very easy, tricky thing is just writing plugins for things with specific formats etc.

color cycling is a cool thing with hsv, it can change red to green blue to yellow orange to pink and everything all in balance. rgb based color changes are more digital/crazy.

KFMM does not read the KFR file. The palette is saved in each KFB file (but not the location...  huh?)
The palette is fetched from the first KFB file so if you want to change it afterwards, change the first KFB.

That can be somewhat cumbersome since the unzoomed first frame doesn't show the result very well. So you may open a nice frame in the 'Examine zoom sequence' function, make a nice palette and then save it as a palette file. Then go to the first frame and load the palette. Finally save the first KFB frame...
