My latest closeup of the surface of planet Fractalus: www.jespernybroe.com/Fractals/37.png

Why can we only upload 256 KB directly here?
Kind of useless for detailed renders.

Great picture - it looks so natural. for my perception it's not a planet but something somewhere in the microcosm..

I guess the filesize limit is due to server cost. after all this is a forum hosted by a private person afaik.
how about attaching a 'small' version to your post so we can see the picture directly, and if you want you add a link to the hi-res version, just as you did here.

cheers!

please use the gallery for larger pictures, there we accept reasonable resolutions, we consider posting images as attachments are harder to sort, browse and categorise

Where is that Gallery, and what size is allowed?

Have you seen the links at the top of every page?

One of them is called "Gallery" and is the one in question.

If I recall correctly, 1920 x 1080 max dimensions and about 1 MB in size are the limits there.  Plus, no more than about 2 or3 images per day please.

please read the guideline for posting images as well:
http://www.fractalforums.com/board-rules/how-to-post-images-t3048/

in fact the upload is limited to just one single image per day and user.
