OK, so I won rec.sports.disc's unofficial Best Troll of the Year award last time I joined a forum, who didn't like my idea that we should relay the disc immediately instead of standing like a tree for 10 !@#$ing seconds before we throw (yet were oddly compelled to keep arguing with me on the matter), soooo... if you render fractals at the slowest possible rate and avoid applying them in challenging ways at any cost, you're not going to like me =(.
However! Just like Jesus, I think I know how to share my thoughts where someone might care rather than to people who want to murder me. THAT SAID, I'm Squish. I'm a psychotic and delusional yet manically creative bum artist. I studied computer science and music in college, then dropped out to spend a decade as a disabled comedian with too much talent to hold a job, and now I spend most of my time writing humorous online reading material (most of which integrate fractals into their basic reading structure and content), youtubing, playing ultimate frisbee, and most importantly, avoiding all of the former (especially applying fractal structures to ultimate frisbee strategy, which I'm sure RSD *really* wouldn't appreciate.)
I'm very passionate about the active creative projects I'm involved in (which we--and/or I and/or the aliens and/or a stray aim bot on crack--like to keep mysterious in regards to who exactly works on them), currently called Xangles, Frangles, and Blorkk (add a .com to any you like). I've accumulated a ton of random junk on my personal site (Squish7.com) over the years, and a zillion other domains that just sit around, but these three (Frangles in particular) is what I currently focus on.
I don't know how to jump on a fractal board and not occasionally reference what I do, so if the following is too pluggy just say so and I'll go away or be less narcissistic. =/. Half the entire point of Frangles, Xangles, and Blorkk is to throw out ideas that are waaay to big for a couple people (or one) to do well, so if I ever mention them or their concepts, it's less "Check this out" and more "Here, go steal our cool ideas." I'll sum them up here super quick and if you care at all in the future you can always click my site or signature or whatever. =/
Frangles (short for "fractal angles") is what we call a "fractal nonlinear humor" saga. That is, humorous prose like Douglas Adams, except fragmented into pages which can be re-arranged nonlinearly in many different ways to attack a general story from many angles, which involve fractals into that complexity. Blorkk is the same idea except with individual lines (like Monty Python skits where the individual lines can be re-arranged), and Xangles is an insanely general and unreachable idea for a whole bunch more sagas of sagas of the same themes/philosophies/sciences/whatever.
While almost anything creative I'd post on this board would inextricably stem from ideas which I integrate into my writing regarding these projects, I'll do my best to just shut up about them and present any ideas I have in a self-sustaining standalone manner as best I can. It can be tricky (like bringing up "fractal prose" without alluding to the fact that I *write* fractal prose, etc, on such and such online project), but I'll do my best. (Unless you actually wanted to discuss my ideas, which RSD didn't like very well *shrug*).
One quick question (if you're still awake): are the signature and profile links here non-followable or whatever, or do they show up as official search engine links? I actually kinda prefer the former because sometimes when I talk on boards with little signature links, my SE ratings go DOWN in favor of these messages! (I once had the board message "why do my messages come up before my actual website" come up two notches before my personal website). And unless they're non-indexed I feel guilty every time I post a message like I'm spamming the internet (and my own stuff to boot).
Anyyyhoo, that's me. You can go back to bed now.
