cool. afro. have you thought of making a small hybrid mandelbox  box with a rebated lift off lid to store your ring in?

And scary severed Halloween hand. That old movie with a hand scampering about by itself did give me the creeps.

Wow, like that image..

but I was thinking slightly less intricate , like this without the fog

and maybe slim-line rings with the fractal on top

oh yeah  @mc this is how a fractal ring has to look like, but i think the classic bulb would be placed better upon it, from the images you provided the middle one is just perfect, and a mandelbox as ring like this - i would buy it!!! in platin - and a platin mandelbulb variant of it as well

ear rings or piercings would work as well with it cheesy haha, although i am not a lover of men-decoratives, such pieces i definately would like to have!

Yes Chris, I was too lazy to construct the mandelbulb version that I see as a half mandelbulb stretched to an ovoid shape, transitioning from the ring band. Much preferable to a ring with a clunky object that can be a snag hazard as per what I did post, although this could be mitigated to some degree by setting smaller Mboxs on each side of the centrepiece

What I really like about 3D printing is the potential of what it will become over the next few years as the materials and colouring possibilities expand. Johan is right to be experimenting at this early stage of 3D printing development. A Beer Cup

If I had a 3D printer I would experiment with carefully inserting a small coloured glass bead(s) during the printing, to gain some glass shine (for clear white,  road marking beads may work). Hmmm, random thoughts. smiley

For a better box for a ring, something along the lines of these two images would be cool. And as for ear-rings, the ear ear ear ear-ring would be stylish.

Good to see I managed to trigger you imagination!  afro
I have a "slim-line" ring in silver already which I made to my wife... been too lazy to post it smiley
I also stumbled over one of my very first m3d renders which could become a nice ring shrine...
