memorize a position?

I work on two MB3D windows at the same time ,
a window to the final image
another to explore a formula, that will be hybridized  in  the final image window
I wonder if there is the ability to copy (memorize) a position and place it in the other window?

Have you tried using the SAVE tab with the option for saving text to the Clipboard??   You should then be able to go to the other window and OPEN the text from the Clipboard.

the commonly used method  is mentioned in the "beginners tip " thread, use the timeline keyframe editor for that purpose, you can use the timeline to store a setting, this way you get a nice list of thumbnails for easy finding, read here:

I just want to easily transpose the numbers indicating the position in  MB3D window to the other main MB3D window

but copy all clears all parameters ...
I want to avoid it

In the 3D Navigator you can insert a new formula to a current position.  Just use "Insert Formula" instead of "Insert Parameters" - this will put the new formula in the position it's already viewing.

It's not quite as easy as what you want, but does the same thing.  You just have to get the position you want in the main window, open the 3D Navigator and insert those parameters - then go to your other instance of MB3D and save the thing you want to text, open that in the other instance of MB3D, and insert the formula to the Navigator.

I do this often just to see what a new formula looks like in a different, but interesting, position from an unrelated formula.
