So this is my first 3D fractal zoom video. It took about 2 weeks to render on an i5-2500k. I used Mandelbulb 3D to create this.
If anyone has an idea on how to speed up the rendering process (i.e. an OpenGL/Cuda solution let me know! ).

I hope you like it! cheesy

There are OpenGL apps but so far you need to be able to code the formula yourself - no hybrid formula lists yet.

Well i found some stuff on the internet and on this forum but somehow I wish for a software
that would simply take my keyframes from MB3D and just render the frames with my GPU but I guess I'll never see that.

Either the gpu renderers I can find don't have key frame animation or they lack other crucial features such as
ambient occlusion or dynamic fog. I'd even pay money for a software with the MB3D functionality and GPU support.

As far as I know nobody has a way to export the functions you've chosen or made a one-to-one copy of these functions on the GPU. Probably best to state how much you would be willing to pay if you want to see movement in that direction. A know a number of people here program GPUs but to try and match M3D functionality they probably need a little encouragement $$ smiley There is a build of Mandelbulber that uses OpenCL I believe - that has key frames and exceptional lighting effects.

actually there will be programs doing this soon, as eric wenger from bryce is working on such a program, furthermore mandelbulber has the ability to render on gpu, but mandelbulb3d and mandelbulber formulas are hard to be converted, and it has to be done by hand....
