Archaeological Notes: Built on the very edge of the sea, this fortress belonged to the Hydargans, a maritime power of Bronze Age technology. It was abandoned with the onset of the planet's last ice age; though the climate at its latitude remained warm, the drop in sea level left it high and dry, and now its eroded remains, and those of a great causeway leading to it, poke up through desert sands.
