At least 3D fractals looks much like photography, so it basicaly it have the same rules like DoF aka blured focus to accentate main object, or placing main object little bitt of the center.
So here :

http://www.galitz.co.il/en/articles/composition.shtml

Absence in composition:

Colours.
Use and mixing of colours. Red/violet and green, or blue and yellow / orange stands in opposite of colour wheel, so allways looks good and contrast, throught maybe are overused. Some other combination don't works so well.

Colour symbolism.
Not so great articles, wikipedia have good articles about each colour, red, green, orange e.t.c. which still don't touch colour psychology, such as purple having been prefared by discontentmented and white beeing weared before wars, as it shows morale superiority and physical fittnes of nation (nationalism).

p.s.
Haven't read all by myself, at least about 4 colour composition and linear dominance in photo;) but if someone have good links about these topics, please share.

More examples.

Here is very evident, how DOF effect accentuates some part fractal.

Here is almoust didactic example of law of thirds and slight balance of masses:

Almoust like this photo example:

Hehe, funny... I know very well of this old rule, but never think so much about it (or maybe I do, unconsciously, because of my croquis studies...) But I am very honored to be the example of the rule here, thank you Alef!

Sharing links about colours, composition and other things about graphical art would be pretty good.

Art can't be teach by tutorials.
Of course, there´s`always posible to learn some artistic rules, but this is not the way the art is done.
If you look at some books on Alchemy, or Astrology, or, in general, any Middle Age system, you´ll never find a structured knowledge system, this was not the way these matter were teach, instead, you were put in the water, and your guide then took care for you not to drown, but if you don´t swim, you go nowhere.
Then, you only can advance in the measure your understanding develops, hidden ideas must be bring to light trough the artists effort, carefully guided , if anyone shows you the idea, it´s stealing it to you, it prevents you to discover it by yourself, thus making it imposible for you to understand.
Art is too a big thing, The Bible is an objective artwork, Greek Mythology is just an Objective artwork, Gothic Cathedrals are Objective artworks, Bach´s music is Objective artwork.
And this true Art, must contain scientific and religious knowledge to bear this name, this Art is the blood of our civilization and nourishes it from centuries ago.
So , Art, is the best and highest human activity, and, to keep it pure, art secrets were told just by mouth to ear, and just in the measure it was neccesary at a given moment.
This is still being true, and don´t think all art secrets have been explained, nor can be explained by any book,  except the Sacred Book of Nature, wich is always open for their children.
