These visualisations of complex numbers and how the Julia Set is formed is probably the best I have yet seen.
http://acko.net/blog/how-to-fold-a-julia-fractal/
(probably best viewed in Chrome or other modern browser with WebGL enabled)

It's built using a project called Mathbox he is also developing:

It looks very promising and worth keeping an eye on, especially if you are involving in visualising mathematical ideas online.

this is great, awesome html set up and interaction, the multiplication with complex numbers is the topic of my first tutorial
section, where i point out that multiplication with complex numbers is a rotation, and that this is consistent, explaining the
sign change of multiplication by negative numbers, he did a great job on visualising it, here i post my version of it
( i am going to re-record it with more detail, and in 3 languages soon wink )

Shame it is really buggy and most visualisations don't work. (On Linux, Chrome anyway)

uh...
"most" visuals don't work?
I'm on Win7 FF and don't see anything but a fancy background?

EDIT: Oh nvm.

works beautifully on my chrome.. great visualisation of the math..I am rubbish with number work but the imagery in this works well for me.. nice to tally up what I see when exploring with what he describes .. will be going through this a few times ..thanks for sharing
