This image is a zoom into Flame, and results from zooming into the Herman Ring Mandelbrot c-plane, with a = 0.332, near a turbulent feature between two large buds. The image is rotated 90 degrees.

Four layers are used: green to orange to yellow (divergent points), blue-green to green to yellow-green (points attracted to zero), blue to pale blue (other finite attractor; closest approach coloring), and a greyish distance estimator edge.
