The borderland. A curve of buds is dotted with seahorses. Mirrored in it is a fractured copy, full of green leaves in groups of three arranged into spirals. The seahorse "eyes" are sinuous green segmented shapes rather than fat lakes. Far away from the seahorses are a few other shapes based on a similar motif.

Here, the "zero basin" has period 3, resulting in the "rabbit Julia" elements to the seahorse cores and the froth in the mirror.

Note also the 3D sculpted look of the buds; this resulted from introducing a dependence of the luminance on the internal angle.
