I post this mainly to suggest a new topic, which is Fractal Paradox.  If you can come up with a fractal that uses 3-D spatial paradoxes like this one, please post them as a reply in Rate My Fractal.  wink

Challenge: make one where the paradox itself is fractally repeated and entwined with, or contains, different-sized versions of itself. wink

Yeah, i wonder if you can define the 3d space of a "impossible figure" mathematically to actually use it as the base for a fractal or otherwise calculated shape, even though it technically makes no sense in 3d space.

love the image!
i always wanted to do some realtime paradox stuff, but never came up with a handy idea, just use of masks and stuff ... but never startet it though ... sad

By 3D, I didn't necessarily mean a true 3D model as in Mandelbulber or M3D.  With this image, I set the field of view to zero to eliminate perspective, otherwise I could not have lined them up.  I would say, make the basic paradox image, then use a 2D fractal program with it to make the structure look like a 3D fractal paradox.
