I've been working on my Buddhabrot renderer to get it to produce as much detail as possible through point selection and histogram equalization.

This is a crop from a larger 7680x4324 image and is from a region in the largest mini-brot about .0013 wide.  I've been sloppy with keeping track of render times for my images, but I think render time was about 1 day for the full 7680x4324 image at 6000 iterations image rendered on my aged 2.16 Ghz core2duo Macbook (no GPU).  The only edit to this image curves adjustment to make the cropped region in this image a bit brighter

The coloring makes me think of the Horse Head Nebula Hubble photos.

Very impressive. The Buddhabrot is a very complicated fractal when zoomed !
