New to Forum - Hi from New Orleans

Hello, everyone.  I'm new to not only this forum, but to fractals.  I am originally from New Orleans, and I still work there.  However, thanks to Hurricane Katrina, my house was destroyed, so my husband and I have moved to Natchez, MS (about 200 miles from New Orleans). 

I first discovered fractals a few years ago, but I thought they were just really pretty pictures.  Then, recently, I found out there was software out there that you could use to actually create your own.  Boy, have I been having fun.  I know nothing about the mathematics involved.  Mostly, I just try different equations, filters, transformations, colors, etc and see what pops out. 

I will be back here often, I have a feeling.  I have created quite a few fractals in just a couple of weeks.  If anyone is interested, I would be happy to post them here.  If anyone has comments or suggestions on how to make better fractals, I am all ears.

Thank you, Trifox.  It's nice to be here.  I will upload some to the gallery.  I'm curious to see what everyone thinks.  Keep in mind, I'm new at this, so be gentle.

Wow, I have signed-up here as well, trying to expand my horizons, see few names and then in Introduce section see You LOL
Awesome !!! It seems like this is a very small fractal world
Have picked up mandelbulb 3d - and having a blast at least for the last one week I had it will see, if it can fit to my software
schedule - adding an extra one ....need to extend the 24hrs of day 
How you like it here? did you transfer any works, yet?
