Here is the latest image I've created with FractalWorks:

(click the link to see a larger version)

This is a Mandelbrot set image rendered in 3D using FractalWorks.

It's centered on    -0.1887226501283,   -0.6633527890881 i
Maximum iterations:   31000
Plot Width (real):   1.55E-11

If you have a recent copy of FractalWorks, you can recreate a 2D version of the image by copying the link below and selecting "New Fractal from URL" in FractalWorks:

ok, it is a julia centered 3d plot, it has nice knobs coming out, but the shape and the colors are looking like we have seen it befory ... sad

keep on working !

I think it looks cool!  I would like to see it with a different color scheme, too.

Trifox,

You're right, the colors are the same that I used for other plots. That set of colors looks good for 3D anaglyphs, and I must have been playing with this plot as an anaglyph.

Thanks for the honest critique. How about this version, with very different colors:

These colors are a variant on the colors used in the Wikipedia article on the Mandelbrot set. (look for the section titled "Image gallery of a zoom sequence")
