Hi,
I don't have any particular concerns about Fractal Forums.
I became a member of FF because I thought it might be a good place to share information about my Apophymator script for Apophysis. The script produces interpolated animation frames from sets of Apophysis flames.
But I really don't know where to start with that, or even where I should post about the script.
Anyway... I do notice that not only here on FF, but around the web in general, there is huge discussion about privacy taking place... One topic on here at FF has numerous posts related to the pros and (mostly) cons of Facebook in particular, but also mentions Google, and maybe some other corporate IT giants..
By coincidence I noticed a pretty cool Firefox plugin the other day that I thought people might be interested in.
It's called "Collusion" which sounds a bit intimidating, but in this it's the collusion between companies that track people that the application shows. Here's an article about the plugin:

Note that I haven't used my browser very much - the other day I had a humongous spider web of links to each other. It's really amazing how wild the links get. In the screenshot, my mouse is hovering over the red dot
The reason I post this info about the "collusion" plugin is because sometimes a "picture is worth 1000 words".
Oh, here is a link to the Firefox plugin:
