Hi

I am a new Madlebulb user and would like some tips (videos?) that show me
how to take an existing mandelbulb and change it say so that, if it featured
balls i could change them in to boxes. Also any pointers to which values in
mandlebulb are the best to change to start experimenting with changing how
the fractal looks. Ideally i would like to be able to take a fractal and make it
look more industrial.

There are so many settings i am not sure where to start smiley

Cheers

I'd start by reading a bunch of threads in this section of the forum, then looking at as many sample parameters as possible to get a feel for things.

It's a slow learning process because of the nature of fractals.  Small parameter changes can produce large changes in the results, so it becomes a cross between luck and finding your way around each combination via trial and error.

There are some general rules though.  You asked about turning a bulb into a box - here's a thread talking about that kind of thing:

http://www.fractalforums.com/mandelbulb-3d/the-interpolations-in-mandelbulb3d/

I originally thought that couldn't be done, because when I tried it I got horrible results, but I was wrong.

There's an example m3a file attached in there to show how it was done.

Hope that helps...
