That's how stereo's usually done. One "observer" for each eye.

  Well.  I suppose I'll try it out.  I'll rotate the fractal around the observer (1 degree each direction perhaps....) for my first try.  Post the results if they look decent.

Hi,

The degree of rotation depends upon the zoom level. For deeper zooms, the degree would be 0.1 or even less. If you select -1 degree and +1 degree as the observer eye angle for the left and the right eyes respectively, the 3D effect would be in between -1 and + 1 ie., 0 degree.

Thanks rathinagirl,

  I got it to work... unfortunately it started making me feel ill after a while so I went back to normal images.  I was trying it on realllly complex images that were slightly too large (so made viewing ... harder, although it worked).
