Thanks. One benefit of multiwave: it can "discover" interesting color combinations for you, and seems to do a better (or at least a more consistent) job than a typical fractal program's "randomize gradient" command.

Fair warning: we're coming up to structures that tend to be quite a bit slower again, due to dense thickets of stuff severely reducing the effectiveness of adaptive AA.

Been following this thread for some time too.

The colours are stunning.

A few questions spring to mind:

1) Have you been able to create a zoom video of the path this takes?  Would be very nice to follow.
2) I think I have some idea but can't quite be certain where on the original mandelbrot you started on page 1.  Could you upload a picture showing exactly where it started?
3) What are the coordinates where you are now, and what zoom factor?

Thanks

To anyone viewing my posts and finding missing/broken links to a website called www.needanother.co.uk, I still own the domain but recently cancelled my server (saving £30/month) so even though the domain address exists, it points nowhere.  I hope to one day sort something out but for now - sorry!

No; or at least, not yet.

which is in Elephant Valley. The last image I uploaded is around 2x10196 magnified from a default view of the Set.

The next one's going to take a few days. The really dense filaments in this area really play hob with adaptive AA.
