A beautiful photo just published by the National Geographic website. I couldn't let it go without sharing it with you.
It is a delicate pattern of a river drainage in a desert.
A classic fractal pattern, but this one is really awsome ! surprised

The site doesn't say anything about the exact location.
Enjoy !

Beautiful!
The site doesn't say anything about the exact location.
Actually they do.(just select "December-week 4").
It says "Desert of Baja California, Mexico.". I've attached a .kmz file of a location where you can see similar patterns. The google earth image I'm getting is quite old (2003) but I think the photo was taken not far away.

Google earth uses .kmz files for geographic related multimedia data exchange (see this wiki).
If you don't have Google earth just download and install it. Then download the .zip file I've attached and just double-click the .kmz file it contains.  cheesy
