I got a little mystery to solve here.
While animating I stumbeled upon a parameter, that crashes mandelbulber reproducible regardless if rendered from within the animation or when saved as parameter. Precisely mandelbulber freezes when starting to randomize zbuffer for dof calculation.
The funny thing is, that the frame before and the frame after render without any problem - reproducible as well. Further very very small changes also lead to problemless rendering but the parameter as provided allways crashes on my system.
My system is mandelbulber win 64 on win 7 pro 64.

Which version was used when you had this problem? Some time ago I have fixed it, because I had the same behavior. There was a problem in randomizing function. The latest version should work properly.

it was (and is) 1.12-1. didn't have that issue for quite a while, so no prblem. as long as I'm working on my animation I won't upgrade - bad expierience last year wink
