ok, here's my birthday present for the mandelbulb. i have to admit, that i had to go two steps back, in order to rescue this image. my method of creating reiefs is far away from perfection and it only looks good under several circumstances. further development steps (one lighter closed, one open) weren't succsessful. maybe it depends on my vanishing ability to control cinema 4d.

the funny side story: i created the main geometry of this lighter not a month after twinbee published his formula. i had no clou and made this to staple a quaternion relief on it... the original can be found under: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=2001440&user_id=263774&np&np

the bulb is the z-buffer of an almost untouched starting parameter taken from mb3d. but it needed manual adjustments up to the fourth digit.
