Thanks Matt for finding the link.  I lost all my bookmarks last week, now the TODO list lost forever grin  A lot of stress removed afro

I  generally like zoom-able detail but this smoothing is cool, makes nice 1950 bakelite plastic images.  Can be tweaked from no-smoothing to totally deformed.

An old formula I made... of course it is your MengerIfs but instead of max() I used a smoothed function three times smiley ... too bad the result fractal loses a bit of symmetry at some point!
