that's awesome! Glad to see the postcards are starting to arrive. Looking forward to seeing pictures of the poster once you have it framed!

In case anyone missed it, I'll just take this as an opportunity to let people know that the posters are now on sale through www.mandelmap.com

I got my giant version a while back and was waiting to get it framed before posting any pictures. Went to pick it up the other day and it's so huge that I can't actually fit it in my car to take it home. I'll post some images once I find someone with a truck or something to haul it back to my house.

Mine just arrived back from the frame shop today. Took over a month to get it back. Better late than never! grin

No room to hang in the living room, so had to move it to the office...

@fitz: Did you ever get the extra large frame home safe and sound? I can't imagine where I would find room to hang a 54" print... tease

Welcome! wink I know the frame is dark so it doesn't show up well in the photos but it's texture relief definitely complements the artful swirls on the medallion.

It's home, but heavy enough that I don't trust myself to hang it up on my own. Probably going to just hire someone this weekend to mount it professionally so I don't end up doing it wrong and ripping a big hole in my wall.

How much does the frame weigh? I used a 50lb mount (two nails) for my 36x24 frame. It had some nice weight to it but not excessively heavy. But that depends on the type of frame you got. A 54x36" frame not only is more than twice as much surface area, but would likely need a heavy frame and possibly wood backing to prevent flexing.

And if you matted it (I did not matte mine), of course the frame is even larger. They also sell a 100lb mount (three nails) and a 30lb mount (one nail) but I would not trust anything weighing near 100 pounds on a nail in sheet rock, regardless of what the mount bracket claims it will support.

Some stuff you really need to drill into the 2x4 behind the sheet rock, and for that you'd likely want to call a contractor.
