I was zooming into a crack in the Celtic fractal, when this happened. It seems that every time I try to render it, I get a different glitch. huh?

Yes unfortunately there are locations in the abs fractals that perturbation fails.
But so far I had only encountered such locations in power 3 fractals.
Your location is on power 2...
