The evolutionary revolutionary design magnifies the strength of wind gusts passing thru the annulus aiding in the dispersion of spore. I wish I had thought of that!

Paul, the fractal fungi fields on Mars are expansive, so no matter which way the wind blows there will always be millions facing in the right direction.

I do strongly suspect these clever sentient fungi will  evolve swivel bases in the near future. smiley smiley smiley
