I've been browsing the Mandelbox for quite some time now, and here are some of the different memorable places I've found. The colours and image quality are optimized for live viewing, sorry about that. These are screenshots directly from my own renderer/fly-by. Almost all the pictures are generated with different parameters, some with rotation applied in the iteration algorithm.

The whole mandelbox is full of different other fractals, and sometimes you can find more than one fit together at the same place:

Dragons and tentacles:

In one of the more sheltered areas of the plain scale -4/3 mandelbox you can find a place resembling a city:

Very often the interesting shapes bunch up in more spread-out areas with smaller variations:

Yet sometimes you find single, isolated figures; this one looks almost like a face:

Canyons:

Different canyons (or corals?):

Tree trunks stretching out to infinity:

With some rotation applied, the box can break into an asteroid cloud:

The rotated mandelbox has some very complex spirals:

Heh, it was originally more like "as opposed to the individual features that only appear once" but I removed the other pictures from that list because they weren't that good and I had too many... So now it doesn't read that well smiley

I've built a Windows binary of the renderer (remember, it's realtime - you can fly around with keyboard control), and it seems to be working at least on the more powerful gpus such as the Geforce 480GTX and Radeon HD 4890. See here if you're interested in trying it out. It's limited in configurability but the renderer is fully functional.
