I'm a teacher that became fascinated with fractals after my introduction to the subject.  I downloaded Ultrafractal and have been editing my images in Photoshop and adding styles to certain elements for a while now.  I'm not sure if that's frowned upon here or if you prefer the fractal without any additionl editing.  Anyway, I look forward to sharing, learning, and just enjoying the site.

hello. welcome to the forum.
sry for no caps - shift key and caps lock are both dead on my keyboard.

i think post-processing is accepted here, but the main artistic goal is still fractal art, right?
personally, i think adding extra contrast, or changing the colors after rendering just isn't pure, but go ahead and upload.
im sure your art is interesting

lol, teachers around smiley

welcome to the forums, and it is surely allowed to modify images with standard image processing tools, it is only useful to state
the used tools, so that people can get a grip on how it was generated

but the most intriguing images are those coming directly out of a generation process,

many people add some kind of background to their images also, especially when dealing with 3d images

enjoy your stay!

Greetings, and a belated Welcome to this particular Forum !!     smiley

The majority of those working with fractal graphics around the world either currently do some form of "editing" on their images, or have experimented with that technique.  And it does not matter whether you use a separate application for editing, or use one that is built into the fractal rendering application.

We were all dabblers at some point.  Some of us just became more fanatical (fans) about fractals over the years.
As to learning, there is always something new somewhere in this Forum.
