Hello,

Mandelbrot Sets are the low-hanging fruits of the fractal world. To be able to perpetuate the beauty that is infinite with such elementary understanding is astounding to me. But, behind the veil of facility is a world in which we are all pioneers of; a world where there are no clear or definite answers; a world where the possibilities are infinite; a world where the Mandelbrot Set rules with the short stubby paws of a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

I am interested in exploring, more in-depth, the Mandelbrot Set and possibly other fractals. Hopefully I will be able to collaborate with you all at one time or another.

And to all of the Americans,
Happy Thanksgiving!

Heya,

You should try out IFS rendering, which in my opinion is a far richer framework in which to visualise chaos; there's a wonderful analogy to be made with rendering using a histogram and doing astrophotography. It also means that you cannot easily zoom "infinitely" deep, but deep zooming should not be the sole focus of fractal exploration!  afro

I think Thomas forgot about the escape-time method for IFS where you can go as deep as your mathematical accuracy allows - you just can't really do traditional flame fractals that way.
