Hello from Belgium cheesy,
I am newcomer , although I discovered the Mandelbrot Set many years ago.
Has someone interest / answers to the following ?
  • #1 : How to relate minibrots centers with periodicity ? I’d like to animate spirals here below, changing angle from 0° to 90°. The solution seems to vary C along a series of minibrots (by steps, not linearly). The best sources I found were :

  • #2 : Has someone an asm SSE2 code for distance estimator in M ? The idea is to speed up computation by controlling resolution, as illustrated by: http://mathr.co.uk/blog/2010-10-30_distance_estimation.html.
  • #3: How could I “visualize” a Mandelbrot 3D-extension, without much coding ?
    (x; y; z) := (x2–y2–z2; 2xy; 2yz)   - with yz and not xz !
  • #4 : For the Mandelbrot Set, could the community build a Map based on a deepzoom like this one ?

Some neat spirals and some interesting questions. I am sure if you look around a bit you will find a discussion that is relevant in some way to your questions.
Check out some of the pinned topics and contact members you think might have the expertise. All questions are welcome, and if no one has the answer, try starting a thread with your own ideas.
