Greetings from South Asia, where a palmyrah is a kind of palm tree that grows in hot, arid regions, particularly near the sea, and is, like all palm trees, tall and thin. Since I share all those characteristics, I've adopted the name for myself. I don't know much mathematics, though I was a physics student back in the Middle Ages, but I do appreciate both the logical and aesthetic beauty of fractals, and I'm delighted to have found this site.
