Hi Everyone!

My name is Rick, and I'm a 21 year old C++ programming student working on his graduation project (about fractals!).
I have actually done quite a few project involving fractals, with my currently biggest one being a dissertation (which can be found here, and a gallery here).
During my research for my dissertation I already came across the forum a few times, but I never registered.
I thought it would be interesting to involve myself more with the community during my graduation project.
My graduation project is actually a fractal rendering tool, and I hope to be able to show it off to you guys soon™.

P.S.
Please have mercy on my math skills, I am only a humble programmer.
I like math a lot, but it can make my brain hurt sometimes.
So please don't laugh when I say or ask something stupid grin

hello and welcome to the forums, nice paper you wrote, and all the "standard" formulas are covered as well as some hybrids using boolean opeartions as it looks, nice work.

you know what ? in some way or another the de based rendering methods will be used for gaming, because they have the advantage that you can get really close to objects and still obtain a sharp picture, right now it seems to be hard to combine polygons and such to a decent scene, but in some way or another it will be used ... wink enjoy !
