In the early days (back in the 80's), I started to experiment with fractals.
I could wait all week for my commodore 64 to produce a glimpse of Mandelbrot Set.
Then the 90's and P.C.'s and "Fractint", and "the" set took seconds, and i was hooked!
Tell me I am not alone? wink

p.s. I post some pics soon! cheesy

I managed to get my mum hooked on creating fractals in Chaos pro a while back. Bear in mind this is someone who knows knows little maths, found computers pretty hard to learn (at least at first), and probably didn't think that much of the mandelbrot beforehand (her computer artwork was very much scene/real based beforehand).

Almost surreal heh.

I hear ya.  I got started on a friend's top of the line 386 DX PC running DOS and Fractint.  When I finally bought my own PC it was a 486 DX4 100 MHz PC, running DOS at first and later Win95-98SE, with 2 MBs video RAM, and 128 MBs system RAM.  How many fractals have you made?  If you like please check out my creations at:

Greetings, and a very belated Welcome to this Forum !!!     cheesy

Almost everybody, that has been creating fractals for at least a dozen years or more, has used FractInt at some time or other.  (And there are several that still do.)

Post a few images, or better yet, supply a link to your gallery.
