Hi. First of all, excuse me for my poor english... Im spanish and dont know how to write some sentences very well. U^^.

How could i start... Well, i've been playing with M3D 1.72 some days (awesome software btw) but have one question, a really strange issue im having...

For example, if i "calculate 3D" the parameter the pic shows this:

But in the 3D Navi the colors, light, etc... Is totally different... And if i click "View To Main" i only get the first picture...

¿Could someone explain this? Thx!

Nothing wrong at all.

There will always be a difference  (often BIG)  between the main window and the navigator.  This is because the navigator is using a much faster render technique.

Try using it mostly to see the shapes you are working with.  I know it's frustrating at first, but you get used to it.

EDIT - also try adjusting your light and shadow settings if you want to get closer to what you see in the navigator.  Trial and error is the only way to do that because each fractal will require different light and shadow adjustments.

Life is complex - It has real and imaginary components.

No Matter where you go there you are

The Nav window does not use the Light/shadow settings of the main window, it's just for Navigation. The only way to see the actual scene is to render it, that is why there is Preview/mid and high resolution calculation settings. Pre and mid for fast renders to see what you are realling going to get and adjust your lights/ambient occlusion shadows, Fog etc. etc before rendering at full resolution where you still may need to adjust even further sometimes.

Fine, thanks you all for the fast replies. I thought it was a problem with the default settings haha.

The default settings are just Ballpark settings anyway, I don't even use them anymore. You can choose a setting that is a relatively good render setting along with dimensions and scale and save it by clicking the M-box and then selecting Pre/mid or high. For instance My preview settings are DE-Stop 1.2, vary DE on FoVy enabled, Raystep multiplier .075, SWL .3, stepcount 12, Normals 3. These now become the default settings for Preview and allows a fairly fast but accurate render of what you are looking at while navigating to where you want to be.
