greetings everyone. i'm new to Mandelbulb3D but not fractal art, Apophysis is my main love. anyways a friend of mines that's also one of my Apophysis sifus told me about this forum and Mandelbulb3D after seeing her work. i downloaded it and tried playing with it yesterday but one of the tuts i followed was kinda old, it talked about features not seen on the new version like FOVy and a couple other things. after fluffing up my fractal i dumped it and decided to ask you guys before starting anything else--what is different about this new version of Mandelbulb3D? i would like to know before following more outdated tuts which i know are gonna piss me off (no offense to the people making them but you gotta admit working on something outdated is a pain in the butt).

i also wanted to know more about VirtualDub since i'm gonna use that to animate my fractals. what's the best version to use? i went to the website and was confused, some are more stable than others but i don't want something outdated that won't work with the new tut that i read or something to that effect.

Try to write a tutorial ... and to keep it "up to date" without ever benn payed (or even thanked in most cases) and then you might feel "pissed off". huh? And you even don't know well what you are talking about because FOV is actually on Mandelbulb3D. tongue stuck out

FINALLY! just what i needed to know. like i said i'm new to this but still true to this so cut me some slack here. thanx a bunch.

methinks someone is still bitter about not getting any propers for whatever tuts you have written (which i would like links to as well, i'm not the script-swiping type unless it's animation and i'd STILL would make my own regardless. i wanna know how it works so i can render my own fractals). i thank all my tut writers and flame/script providers for their assistance on dA, esp. if i like their tutorials because of the results.

now with VirtualDub the latest version would be the best is what i'm hearing? ok let's start there............
