Thanks bib! That takes me there in a jiffy! But it still doesn't tell me how to get there...

Maybe you did not notice, but there is now an Inside mode in M3D. (dropdown at the bottom of the Formula window). Also, make sure to cut at z=0 to see the inside.

Thanks Daniel, that picture helps a lot! I guess all this time I've been looking to deep in the bulb to see the obvious... I feel slightly stupid

Sorry my mistake I should have said that you have to use Integer Power with Z multiplier=1 (by default it is -1 and there are no spines)

Twinbee thank you for publishing your program. After I put a recent SDL.dll in the path of the executable it works well. It its nice to navigate inside the Mandelbulb. Is there a way to get a greater main window to render some pictures like the pictures you published in the gallery?

The are some different types of spines, this one looks like a fir tree. Suits to christmas.

Also included is a slower but higher quality exe with quadruple the resolution (300*300). Not hi-res by any means, but for that, you'll have to wait for the final program I'm working on
