Hi all. This image is a multi software composition. The main structure is derived by a formula from the researches of a friend of mine (Exper, maybe you know him, he's a master of recursions with Apophysis). Chaoscope was the software used to obtain the image. I used the image as a displacing map in Lightwave, to obtain a multi subdivided mesh. In lightwave, too, I composed the mesh with some hiperwoxels particles emitter (mapped and displaced with some simple fractal algorithms). Other chaoscope maps were superimposed in Photoshop.
Hope you like it (C&C welcome, really)

I'm not a big fan of fractal manipulations (I prefer "raw" ones), but I must say you got a nice 3D feeling with this. There's a soft mix of colours and shades with preponderating earthy tones, that contribute in creating dynamism for the whole structure. Well done.

Nice work.

I'm not a big fan of fractal manipulations (I prefer "raw" ones)...

Well, I'm a Big Fan of mixed-media fractals, multi-media fractals, and just about any way I can work an image of The Woman I Love into a fractal!

If you haven't seen any of my images "Fractalizing" Lissa, you will...  I post them often   Elvis Presley

Feel free to post some in our Annual Competition!  There's still a couple weeks left before entries close and voting starts!

Many thanks for your replies. I love the 'heavy' fractals, the 'real' and meshed fractals becouse... becouse... I don't know. I suppose I love an allegoric way to intend the reality.
Not really an abstract and modern way to art, I agree. smiley
I'll search you Fractalizing Lissa (What about the 'fractalization', my dear Lissa? cheesy)
Edit: I have seen the contest space. I'd like to upload two or three images of mine... But, I'm sorry, I can't find the way to make a new topic into the child boards. sad I am a newbie in this forum.
I'm italian and I have a little (or a lot) of problem with english.
Thanks for your help

I'm glad you couldn't find a way to make a new topic in the gallery section of the forum because it doesn't exist!

Try the Gallery Link at the top of the page.  Then seek the 2011 Competition section from there.

Since we're about to get married, I feel justified in re-posting my favorite FractaLissa:

I liked that one so much - I even Animated it:

I don't know if it's still a Fractal, but I don't care!  It's Beautiful.

EDIT - Here's the Competition Section of the Gallery:  http://www.fractalforums.com/index.php?action=gallery;cat=52

She is beautiful. Even defractalized, I imagine
My felicitations for your marriage.
Now I'll go and try to crack the defence of your Fractal annual contest wink
Thank you for the trick

I said I'm no big fan, but it's not like I despise them xD Just a personal taste. It's as if I said I prefer abstract art to figurative art (which is indeed true for me), I'm not claiming abstracts are superior - just that I love them more than figurative works, which I still respect and appreciate.
Have a happy married life, your soulmate looks very cheerful!

Thanks Very Much   afro

I'm sure my Princess appreciates the compliment.  I have to get her to post here someday...  She's just not as much into the internet as one would expect from a woman I met by getting design work for her modeling website!

I hope that didn't come off as passing Judgment on your tastes!  I was just declaring my love of using a Fractal as a starting point in other work  (and my Love of my Goddess too!).

I'm sure any confusion is simply due to language barrier.  Thanks for the kind wishes   cheesy

I visited your site. It's really clean!
Hey! You are a student and I'm a prof (Liceo Artistico, Italiano e Storia). Randomly intersecating wink
