  Mostly I usually used Ultra Fractal 5.04/Photoshop cs5 extended/masking/ a lot of layers.  I'm sure there are much easier ways to do it...but this seems to work for me.

  You figured it out VERY quickly...I am really impressed.  I can assure you that it took me a lot longer to work out just how to do it then it took you to understand how it was done!  As always...I stand in your shadow.
