They remind me of those magnification pictures of insects that are really creepy. alien

very nice shape smiley
Could be a racing vehicle of sorts...
Hmm... I wonder, how aerodynamics could be improved with fractals. For the most part, surfaces have to be as smooth as possible in order to be as aerodynamic as possible, but gaps at certains sizes, corresponding to the sizes of the molecules of the media you want to speed through (air, water, ...) for some reason improve the aerodynamic properties of a surface. Now, what if you use a shape, that's a lot like a perfectly smooth droplet but then "suddenly", at the apropriate resolution, things become fractal...

Those are pretty awesome looking.

Just to note, I uploaded my 4d through 10d mandelbulb implementations to ChaosPro's database (for use with ChaosPro), so there are a few other multidimensional options available (besides the Mandelbox, Amazing Hybrid D, D2, R2D2, D3, and Mandala (I'm not sure if I included the 5d or 6d versions of these ones: coding needs cleaning, 4d should be in the updated set which has been there for a while)).

Hi all &  thanks for comments.
Matthew, I haven't tried Chaoscope yet, I see you've made impressive images with it. I 'll give it a try.

Very nice.

They also look to me somewhat like an MRI or rendering of a uterus and birth canal in the female abdomen (I worked in a medical school for many years and often saw diagrams/models/etc, I'm not trying to make a joke or any negative comparison of your images.)
