i more thought they would go like google maps, with an insane, really really insaaane, large harddisk, to hold all the unlimited data cheesy

I was hoping for a directional map around the mandelbrot, with perhaps directions to the bulbs and to places of interest. A bit like the map of the moon really!
It is too slow at the moment, but i am sure they will get better at it.

I think it's all calculated by the browser javascript engine since once I have loaded the page I can disconnect from the internet and explore any of those fractals at will.

So probably optimal in Chrome and Opera and the faster the CPU the merrier. I am impressed by the rendering speed in Opera 11 on my Athlon 64 2.6GHz single core I must say.

Just a toy anyway, I won't be using it too often I guess.
