How does it work that FF shows my IP address to moderators when I'm logged in.
And why do I have to be able to see it from Fractal Forums?

I would please like the image shown in the attachment posted to THIS message explained.

The explanation is right there in the image.

I'm not sure I understand the problem.

It's just the way the forums software is built.

IP's must be recorded for all posts in case of abuse.  Seeing your own is just the way the designers at SMF made the forum.

What is the problem with this?  Only you and the staff can see it.

EDIT - Except now that you posted those screen shots, EVERYBODY can see your IP!  If you're concerned, remove those images  afro

The explanation [for why the IP address is shown when someone is logged in] is right there in the image.

OK, I didn't catch that the first time you answered.  But I do not recall seeing that in other software forums where I've participated.

What is the problem with this?

It's not necessarily a problem.  It's as I said above.  I just do not recall seeing that my IP address was available to both myself and "Moderators" when I've been signed in to a forum.

Thanks again for replying.

Well, they can see the IP address I used when I posted the image.
But I changed that right after I posted the message. :-)

if you do not want your IP4 or IP6 address known then have a look at TOR
or use a proxy like " hidemyass.com "
