Please explain?

What do you mean by tubular fractals? Can you post an example?

In Tierazon there are filters for "stalks".

L-systems can be branching tubes like these two:

http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/17072725/

Escape time fractals can also be colored to appear to have tubular shapes:

Maybe something from the Lorenz attractors?

Like this Chaoscope render, maybe?

The above image, titled "SmoothBranchingInTriple_002", is really interesting!!  I like it very much!!    smiley

What program did you use to generate it??

If you do mean the LSystem type fractals, such as what Don gave links to, and the following which I did several years ago:

   http://www.nahee.com/Fractals/FraSZle/Gallery_01.html

Then there are at least a couple dozen fractal type applications available which will create these "tubular" graphic images.

don't recall whether i read it in the deviation's descriptions or whether don told me explicitly, but iirc it was rendered in maya from a density field created with don's application (before it did its own rendering).

This one was a polygonal model done by hand in Maya

The program is called "FraSZle" and was created by Terry W. Gintz.  These images are some older ones I generated way back near the beginning of this century.     wink
