Earlier today, somebody had been viewing the Mars images, and they snipped out this small portion of one showing an unusual combination of two craters.  (The image has not even been rotated!)    cheesy

  

Anyway, they sent an e-mail to the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter team with the suggestion to name it "Mandelbrot Crater".

I would think this combination is very common anywhere on mars. Btw, on subject of craters and fractals, check this out.
