Wonderfully portrayed, and an imaginative title. First class image.

Do not be baffled. These are all trochoids in 3d.  Albrecht Duerer said if you wish to be truly a master you must study cardiods. We have moved on since then and Jakob  Steiner has shown the relations to all things through geometry. We now call them roulettes. And this is a wonderful example of them.

Trochoids...Seems they  come in peace?
 As for myself I am still often "baffled and awed" by the shapes spinning out of triplex algebra...

Very cool shape, wonderfully rendered. I really need to learn how to do mandelbulbs and mandelboxes.
