Fractal Art talk at Washington & Lee University, Lexington, VA

http://www.fractalforums.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=17172

Several of you have asked how the talk went at W&L last week. It was really great, attendance around 200 or a little more. I tried to make the opening funny by showing an actual MRI of my brain that in parts, had both 2 dimensional and then 3 dimensional fractals growing in it, which I thought was hilarious, but was met by straight if not shocked faces and not a single laugh.
The custom made faux mink coat was a necessary accessory after I found out the school had a secret society named the “Mongolian Minks”
In the photo I am explaining the fractal nature of the Lorenz Attractor and how it was utilized in the perspective of the famous Velazquez painting “Las Meninias”

Love the image!

Nice to hear your report, and interesting about the perspective (or movement?) and the Lorenz attractor!
