Description: Combination of two "distorted" KIFS fractals and some distance functions, and also a power 6 Mandelbulb for the ground. Rendered with Fragmentarium using a customized version of the default raytracer. Some little postwork on PS. Thanks to eiffie and Chris Kleinhus for help and suggestions. 05/19: New render - Improved shading - More underwater feel and darker mood - Changed DOF to make visible more fractal detail - Adjusted eye and pupil sizes. Sockratease | June 02, 2013, 12:47:51 PM I didn't have to read the name on this to know it was one of yours, Kali. You're developing a unique style of rendering that is instantly recognizable as your work. And with fractals - that ain't easy! Well done |

Alef | May 22, 2013, 04:05:29 PM Good. Kind of scaled fish when axolotls are naked, but it looks like a natural axolotl and not something abstract. |
Madman | May 21, 2013, 10:23:33 PM Awesome, Kali! You deliver proof that everything is fractal! How about creating the improbability drive next?? |
