I remember one of my great teachers explaining to me "the way".  This is also known as Tao, Dao, hence Taoism/Daoism, (different spellings of the same word).

If fractals are self similar or similar parts of itself exist within itself, then we have a way of itself to exist at any level within itself.  Let's consider everything to be a fractal of type "all".  Taoism is the way of all things.  So let's consider the Fractal "all" to be similar to "the way (of all things)".  Thus the most complex fractal of all is the Mandelbrot set.  In this case we have a map of "the way" of all life in general.  Just as complex is the Mandelbrot Fractal as is to the way of life.

When I explore the Mandelbrot fractal I get intuitive feelings on life in general.  I honestly feel more is there then we may know.  Mandelbrot may have known this; he may have written something on this same thought process, (or not, I haven't read all of his books). Now that we must rely on what he left behind, or his intuitive being inspiring us from all different levels, we must either, or both, study the math behind all of his ideas and/or rely on his intuition.  He is now free from human constraints.  This means he can inspire us without words and without math symbols.  He can now inspire us with feelings and intuition.  Most of us ignore this reality of feelings and rely upon mathematical terms in which we invented using a language we invented upon objects we defined by our own rule sets in this realm of the living.

There exists infinite realms of life from our life to beyond.  Perhaps these lives exist harmoniously as one but with our limited definitions we have ruled out the knowledge that exists beyond words and symbols that may only exist in feelings/intuition.

Considering these aspects, we can conclude that one may have the knowledge of the way of all things but can only explain in the language they understand as a human and therefore much of it is lost in "translation".  This means one can not really translate emotion into human language.  Emotion is constantly debated and always a point of debate.  There exists no human defined facts when emotions are involved.

Ever since Mandelbrot died, I have been filled with emotions and intuition on general aspects of life in general.  This is just one of them.

To sum up,  the concept of fractals, chaos, attractors and "the way", can not easily be defined by human logic, language and mathematics.  This is because the way of all things exists externally and internally of everything all at the same time, and the only language that I can see as existing within all is the only language that we can't speak.  This is the language of "the way" and is revealed to us when we are silent and empty of all things and ready to be filled by everything but we must accept the emptiness to be filled by everything.

Taoism is a paradox and so are fractals.  This is what self-referencing is all about and life can not exist without its own existence and therefore, life is a paradox.  Each reference themselves from themselves just as we reference ourselves from ourselves.  God may be just a way to reference ourselves from outside of ourselves yet this God is said to exist within ourselves.  Another paradox.  Another fractal.  There is self-similarity.

Perception is the ruler we use to measure the life as England's coastline is measured.  We can only go as deep as the amount of space we allow our minds to perceive.

You Got it Thunderwave. Yes !!

No one philosophy however can have this truism solely, by definition!

So find it everywhere in a holographic sense. And what use is it? Well... you can play with it! grin

Enjoy!

May a trochoid of ¥h¶h iteratively entrain your Logos Response transforming into iridescent fractals of orgasmic delight and joy, with kindness, peace and gratitude at all scales within your experience. I beg of you to enrich others as you have been enriched, in vorticose pulsations of extravagance!
