Great! Good choice on the monochrome to keep focus on the texture.
What formula / parameters are you morphing over?

These kaleidoscopic fractals lend themselves very well to animations. Perfectly executed, great job!

Excellent automation, music choice and rendering.
Also like your Augustus Polyp Video, may I ask which formula you are using there?

Thanks guys smiley
What formula / parameters are you morphing over?
The formula is based on the Dodecahedron IFS serpinski (as described by Knighty) but I'm rotating the iteration point by different amounts before folding and then again before the scaling. Over the course of the animation I'm slowing changing the rotation around some of the axes simply following what looked interesting smiley

The whole sequence took about 5 hours at 1280x720 with 4x antialiasing and a second depthmap pass to create the DOF effect.

Beautiful, simple, spectacular.  Bravo!

You're internet famous now.  It made Boingboing!

Thankyou for this. I learn a lot from these fractal pieces of art, and this has re-emphasised for me how fundamental dynamic magnitudes are to my understanding and appreciation of reality.

If anybody has been confused by some of my posts, this should clear up what i mean by arithmoi and dynamic magnitudes.

Feel the textures! embarrass
