Hello

I found this forum when i was googling around for tools to render apophysis flamefiles. One result was http://www.fractalforums.com/images-showcase-(rate-my-fractal)/spiral-series-(apophysis)/ and after reading that I realised that it would be great to find a community like this and decided to join before reading anymore threads, so if I stay remains to see (;

I've been working in apophysis for some time... since Q4 2005 maybe. During this time I've tried some other programs like UltraFractal but never really felt i had the freedom I had working in apophysis. And I also thought that focusing on one would be best so that I one day might be able to write plugins or maybe even do some real hacks.
So far the only coding I've done is some scripts handling rendering (one that handles internal rendering, external HQI through batch and Flam3) and some simple apps for structuring and merging flamefiles and render through HQI/Flam3.. Oh, and I also wrote down a function or whatever you should call it in python on a couple of papers who where supposed to draw some fractal image (it was all just hypothetical), based on some info about the IFS fractal system I found somewhere I can't remember now.

If I'm staying here you might only see me from time to time because until now I've had periods when I work with fractals. I dunno how often I work with fractals but sometimes i render a couple of pictures a week and sometimes I don't render anything for months.

Suppose that's it... Except for some samples of what I've done... But that comes in some edit later, maybe today, maybe tomorrow, we'll see...

Trasp

Edit:

One funny thing I forgot to mention earlier is that one of my first fractals I were happy with actually was a Barnsley's fern I "accidently" made in apophysis. (Edit2: Which I now saw has created a topic right beneath mine shocked, interesting...)

Here's the samples tho:

And here's the one I'm currently working on. The heart is ofcourse manipulated in photoshop and this i just a preview, I'm currently rendering the picture with 400k in quality instead of 30k (still 1920x1080) but it will take me about two days with this intel quadcore. (Note to self again: Don't script while rendering... 25% lost)

PS. If you wonder why two images are marked Nargil that's because that was my nick "back in the days". You could check in my gallty on Deviantart as well if you'd like but I haven't uploaded too much there.

This Forum has been around for a few years, and will most likely be here for several more.  So drop in whenever the mood strikes you, and share whatever images you may have created along the way.
